A lot of people have trouble articulating their idea for an art piece that they’re commissioning from me. I’ll help remedy this by asking a bunch of questions about the style, feeling, colors, and poses. Then I’ll do a bunch of research to try to spark something in the person’s mind of what they’re looking for.
I love the freedom they’re allowing me. I love intentionally narrowing down what they’re asking for. I love going off of vibes alone to create stuff.
The most recent commissioned painting I made was with only “Las Vegas and Circus” vibes, and It’s honestly one of my favorite things I’ve painted. After doing a TON of research, I made a whole document that categorized a bunch of screenshots into “aerial,” “las vegas landscape,” “Las Vegas hotels,” “neon signs,” “jugglers,” and “showgirl outfits.” After the go-ahead from the person commissioning it, I made this:
I also realized that most of my commissions have been the person saying “Here’s my idea. Sorry! I know that’s not a lot to go off of! But I trust you!”
I used to grumble a bit about that, but then I realized that it gave me the kind of artistic freedom many artists can only dream of. Not to mention, their trust in me was a HUGE compliment.
So, for all those people out there who are a bit shy about having only vague ideas of what they want, I made this: Anti-AI art project. Let me make art for you based on vibes alone.

Give me a bunch of your “keywords,” some colors, and a vibe. Just a few words and a general feeling, and I’ll make you something. Give me your fuzzy brain words, and I put art into your hands.
Don’t be shy! I know someone who is currently trying to get an AI site to make “nun playing a sousaphone” and not having a lot of luck. Let’s get more real art out there into the world.
Not into it? Then PLEASE buy your holiday gifts, even just one or two, from small creators. Real live people making things for sale are everywhere, and they make the most astonishing real things.
I’m thankful for you,
Dakota
